Summit Link Project (SLP)
Summit Link Project is a collaborative effort between the judicial system and
treatment providers to identify those offenders with mental health needs or
chemical dependency issues for diversion from jail to the appropriate treatment
provider. SLP assists the Municipal Court in identifying and assessing offenders
who are appropriate for community referral and placement. If court ordered to
enter the Summit Link Project, the offender's chemical dependency is assessed,
and the offender is referred to the community resource that best meets the
offender's needs. A case manager will monitor compliance and coordination of
services to ensure the client follows through with the recommended form of
treatment. Mental health services are offered through a collaboration with
Community Support Services. |
