Intensive Outpatient Program

The Intensive Outpatient Program is a four-week, intensive chemical dependency treatment program designed for clients who do not require inpatient or residential care. The program consists of individual and group counseling, involvement with self-help groups, family education, relapse prevention, and 12 weeks of aftercare. Services are provided in both day and evening sessions.

This service is also offered for clients in other Oriana House programs who are in need of chemical dependency treatment.

Relapse Prevention

Relapse Prevention assists clients in recognizing personal warning signs and symptoms of potential relapse. Clients entering this program have a history of prior chemical dependency treatment and may be at risk for returning to alcohol and drug usage. The program lasts up to eight weeks. Both group and individual sessions are available. There is no cost to the client for this program.

Aftercare/Continuing Care

Aftercare/Continuing Care provides 12 weeks of continued treatment for the chemically addicted client after a treatment program has been completed. Services include weekly, 90-minute group sessions and individual treatment plans. Oriana House offers this service for clients completing Oriana House programs and for clients completing other chemical dependency treatment programs. There is no cost to the client for this program.

Summit Link Project

The Summit Link Project is a collaborative effort between the judicial system and treatment providers to identify those offenders with mental health needs or chemical dependency issues for diversion from jail to the appropriate treatment provider. The Summit Link Project assists the Akron Municipal Court in identifying and assessing offenders who are appropriate for community referral and placement. A case manager will monitor compliance and coordination of services to ensure that clients who participate in the Summit Link Project follow through with the recommended treatment. Mental health services are offered through collaboration with Community Support Services. The Summit Link Project operates out of the Summit County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADM) Crisis Center.

Family Matters Education Program (for family members)

At Oriana House we believe that addiction is a disease that affects the entire family. Our Family Matters Education Program is designed to educate, support, and promote healing through specific forums designed with the family member in mind, along with integrated skill building and communication exercises. The Family Matters Education Program is offered to family members and friends of Oriana House clients affected by addiction. Registration is required for the weekly, evening classes.
